Our design philosophy is simple. Build beautiful, enduring structures that possess the qualities of composure, durability, presence, and integrity. We have worked hard to develop our unique architectural language and to integrate our buildings with the landscape.

We consider each material for its best qualities and strength, and how we might work them.  We also acknowledge that materials have their own history.  We try to instill the essence of the maker, those former craftsmen who developed their process and passed it down.

The attributes of durability and integrity have been key to developing our technical innovations.   We strive to design buildings that are modern and resilient but have a familiar feel.  We design to innovate new methods of building to address the challenges of our modern life while imbuing projects with a sense of place.

Our latest focus is “climate resiliency.”  It is our imperative to meet the challenges of a changing environment.  Design is the first step towards that  objective.
